The second series of Gladiators is set to premiere in the UK in Early 2025 on BBC One, with the series being recorded in August of 2024, during the school holidays, at the Sheffield Arena.[1][2]
The series was commissioned by the BBC bosses after an successful relaunch in 2024, which attracted nearly 10 million viewers during its whole first series.[3][4][5]
The series is going to be presented by the Walshes (Bradley and Barney), who also presented the first series.[6] For the Gladiators, all from the previous series, especially Diamond (Livi Sheldon),[7] and Giant (Jamie Christian-Johal, who was given a "second chance" despite the steroid scandal), are expected to return according to the BBC’s contracting.[8][9]
The series will see the return of more classical events from the 1990's and the noughties eras, and reworking on already existing events, like the Gauntlet, which is being made more difficult for the contenders.[9]
In addition of regular episodes, the series will also have a celebrity special episode, according to the BBC.[10]
