Grangetown Boys Club is a football club based in Grangetown, North Yorkshire, England. Founded in 1941, the Club is affectionately known as Boysie and play in a traditional black and orange kit inspired by the Tiger on the club's crest.

They currently compete in the North Riding Football League Premier Division and play home games at Grange Farm Road.

History[edit]

After being founded in 1941, The club first found success in the MacMillan Bowl in 63/64 before breaking a 36 year duck in 99/00, with subsequent triumphs in 01/02, and 02/03.

Boysie secured their inaugural Teesside League title in 98/99 and successfully defended their championship status the following season in 99/00.

The turn of the millennium saw Boysie go from strength to strength, clinching back to back league titles in 01/02 and 02/03.

Alongside the traditional league and cup success the club also triumphed twice in the charity shield in the noughties, winning the R T Raine Trophy in 02/03 [1] and 03/04 [2]

Grangetown Boys Club

The club's last Teesside league title came in 10/11 after an eight year draught.[3] The following season Boysie reached the Semi Final of the North Riding Senior Cup, ultimately losing 4-nil to York City.[4]

The first team is managed by James Hunter in the 2023/24 season, and currently sit second in the North Riding League Premier Division, the spiritual successor to the Teessside League.
