Grapefruit: Season I – The Wrath of Love is a fantasy fictional novel by Tyrone Evans Clark.[1][2] It is the first book in the planned Grapefruit: Season series. It was first published in 2020. The Wrath of Love takes place in New Zealand centering around the main character Virtuous.[3][4][5][6][7]
Plot Summary[edit]
In South Auckland, Virtuous eats an enchanted grapefruit from a claimed past friend, Immoral, that gives her back her youth. She is later migrated to Milford Sound, where this hero is forced to battle the Dark Fiends and other wicked forces in order to earn the respect from the King of Milford Sound (King Vincent), so she can be in a romantic relationship with his son, Prince Victor. Unfortunately, she doesn’t know that Immoral is really an evil witch and the tasks that were given to her by the king aren't going to be easy to complete![8][6][9]

Augustus Britton of Flaunt Magazine stated in summary that Clark’s multicultural background and experiences with homelessness have infused his work with a unique perspective on race, humanity, and the transformative power of art. Clark advocates for understanding and compassion, drawing from his teaching experiences with underprivileged youths to emphasize the unifying potential of art. He sees his role as an artist and teacher as crucial in challenging stereotypes and fostering a more inclusive and empathetic society.[3]
This Day wrote, “He is very informative—in fact, Grapefruit: Season I – The Wrath of Love breaks down a few major police brutalities and vicious attacks towards African Americans in the USA throughout the years, including Breonna Taylor, Ahmaud Arbery, Eric Garner, etc.”[10]
In Flux, Alexa Wang wrote, “In the past year, fans of the Grapefruit Season I book have submerged themselves into the novel and discovered that the main leading character, Virtuous, has some similar characteristics to Xena (played by Lucy Lawless).”[6]
