Greater Northern Removals
Greater Northern Removals is a moving company based in Cairns, Queensland. Part of the Chess Moving Group and AFRA members, the removalist company has been in business since 1986. The business is also a member of the Cairns Chamber of Commerce, as well as the Business Chamber Queensland.
Managing Director, Les Forrester founded the company in 1986[1]. Since then the business has grown to a fleet of 28 vehicles[2] and depots in Cairns and Townsville.
The company's trading name, Greater Northern Removals Pty Ltd, was registered on 11th May 2000 with the Australian Business Registrar[3].
Partnership with Chess Moving
Greater Northern Removals is a member of the Chess Moving Group. This is a partnership between 8 family-owned Australian removals companies[4]. The company became an active member of the group in 2015[5] although their relationship began in 2002.
