Hi User:2NumForIce, MAKRUM merged with Immobile changing the company's name to Grupa Kapitałowa Immobile. But today Makrum is the seperate company owned by GKI. Both - GKI and Makrum are listed on the Warsaw Stock Exchange. Imerr (talk) 12:29, 30 August 2023 (UTC)

  • Comment: Having trouble reading this, but is it the same company as MAKRUM? If so, then should be merged. -- NotCharizard 🗨 13:33, 29 August 2023 (UTC)

History[edit]

Former Makrum production hall in Leśne district

The roots of the company date back to 1868, when Hermann Löhnert began repairing agricultural machinery[19]. Over the next century and a half, under the name Pomorskie Zakłady Budowy Maszyn, and since 1957 - Makrum, the company gained international recognition as a manufacturer of crushers and machines for the mining industry. The turning point, however, was 2001, when Rafał Jerzy became the main shareholder of Makrum[20]. The company began to dynamically operate in the offshore and marine industries, and in 2007 it made its debut on the Warsaw Stock Exchange[21]. In January 2014, the MAKRUM S.A. merged with Immobile sp. z o.o., changing the company's name to Grupa Kapitałowa Immobile S.A[22][23]
