Highland Ridge Hospital, established in 1983 , is a psychiatric hospital in Midvale Utah^[1] They treat a variety of mental health conditions, including anxiety, depression, suicidal ideation and many other conditions.^[2].They manage both adult and pediatric behavioral health concerns, as well as addiction recovery programs.^[1]

Recent Issues[edit]

In late 2023, the facility became under increased scrutiny due to a number of complaints regarding sexual assault, as well as allegations that they did not report the assaults to the proper authorities.^[3] Unified police began investigating the issue in 2019, and there have been over 50 cases regarding assault since then.^[3] Recently the Utah Department of Health has come under fire due to their inaction regarding the hospital's actions, and there have been calls for the facility to be shut down.^[4]
