From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

House in the Garden (House and Trees) is a 1908 oil on canvas cubist painting by Pablo Picasso. It was seized from art collector Sergei Shchukin by the Soviet state after the 1917 October Revolution and assigned to the State Museum of Modern Western Art until 1948, when it was moved to the Pushkin Museum in Moscow, where it still hangs.[1]

The painting depicts a windowless and doorless house inside a walled enclosure next to a pathway, and two trees with extensive leaf patterns.[2]
