Hovsep Tigranov was the eighth mayor of Yerevan .


Hovsep Tigranov was one of the prominent Armenian military figures of the beginning of the 20th century in the Viceroyalty of the Caucasus of the Russian Empire. He was appointed mayor of Yerevan in January 1911 and served for one year. In fact, he temporarily replaced Hovhannes Melik-Aghamalyan, who had been appointed mayor since 1904 and held office for 10 years, until 1914. Before that, Hovsep Tigranov was a military figure and the mayor of Alexandropol.
