The International Teachers’ Olympiad (ITO) is an annual multinational Olympiad for teachers.[1] This event is held for teachers - aspiring, in-service, and retired teachers from across the world who are tested on their pedagogical competencies. The first edition of the ITO was held on 15th October 2022.[2]
During the Olympiad, teachers undergo a one-hour online assessment. They receive confidential reports and professional development plans for growth, self-reflection, and continuous improvement based on their performance. Schools of these teachers also receive similar school-level reports to execute targeted professional development & improve the teaching quality of their institutions.
Eligibility[edit]
Aspiring teachers, in-service teachers, as well as retired teachers from all across the world are eligible to participate in the International Teachers’ Olympiad.[3]
Exam format[edit]
The ITO is an online test for 60 minutes. Participants need to attempt 50-multiple choice items based on 31 indicators developed around 6 domains of:

- Curriculum, Pedagogy And Technology
- Student Engagement
- Learning Environment
- Learning Assessment & Data
