Island Mint is a Prague based indie/psychadelic rock band formed by singer and producer Matyáš Adámek. Inspired by 60s sunshine pop and garage rock as well as 90s shoegaze. Starting with the whimsical EP Hazy Days (2020) and developing with the surreal indie album Irreality[1] (2022), the music took on sharper features on the band's latest release – the krautrock infused EP All Studium No Punctum[2] (2023). For the past four years, the five-piece led by lead singer and producer Matyáš Adámek has been successfully convincing Czech and Slovak audiences that the sun does indeed shine. In 2023 the band have won export competition Czeching by Radio Wave 2023.[3]
