The semi-final of the 2006 FIFA World Cup between Italy and West Germany was played on 5 July 2006 at the Signal Iduna Park in Dortmund. Italy won 2-0 after two goals in the final minutes of extra time extra time, scored by Fabio Grosso and Alex Del Piero.
