James G. Tagliaferro was a lawyer, constitutional convention delegate and judge in Louisiana. He was appointed an associate jusitce by the governor. He served as an associate justice for the Supreme Court of Louisiana from 1866 to 1876.[1]

He represented Catahoula Parish, Louisiana as a representative delegate at the 1852 and 1861 constitutional conventions[2]
