James and Lucia is an upcoming biopic of the author James Joyce. Written and directed by Robert Mullan with acting roles for Rupert Friend, Evanna Lynch, Minnie Driver, Alex Kingston, and Derek Jacobi.
Synopsis[edit]
The film has a focus on Joyce’s relationship with his daughter during the final years of his life, firstly in Paris then in Zurich.[1]

The film is produced by Rupert Hollier and Gaby Whyte Hart with Simon Fawcett an executive producer for Filmtrax Media. Emanuele Moretti is producing for Motus Studios.[2]
Principle photography is scheduled to take place in Italy in April 2023.[3]
Casting[edit]
Aidan Gillan was linked with the role of Joyce in the production in 2017.[4] Michael Gambon was linked to the role of Professor Alfred Vogt in 2019.[5]
