John Doulgeridis, the Managing Director and Founder of Carlisle Homes, stands at the helm of one of Victoria's leading building companies.[1]. Following his secondary school education, John pursued a degree in Planning and Design at the University of Melbourne, embarking on this academic journey in 1991 and dedicating the subsequent three years to the pursuit of his qualification. Graduating in 1993 with a Bachelor of Planning and Design, he ventured into Australia's construction industry.

In 2004, John took the initiative to establish Carlisle Homes, a residential building company that has since garnered multiple awards and emerged as a prominent player in Victoria's real estate sector. Over the years, the mission of John Doulgeridis and Carlisle Homes has remained straightforward: To build homes of exceptional quality and exceed their customers’ expectations.

Carlisle Homes is one of the leading building companies in the Victoria area with over 20 years of experience. Having won multiple awards, including the HIA Australian Professional Major Builder in 2023[2] and 2021, HIA Victorian Professional Major Builder in 2023[3], 2022, 2020, 2017, and 2015, and Master Builders Large Residential Building Business of the Year for 2023 [4] and 2022. Collaborating with the HIA, John and Carlisle Homes have achieved success in endorsing the HIA Builder Program[5]. This initiative aims to fortify the building industry by motivating subcontractors to engage apprentices, providing them with increased opportunities within the field.

Carlisle Homes has also been recognised as a Great Place to Work, with 96% of employees agreeing with that statement[6]. This is due to the dedication that John has to improving the culture and work-life balance for team members at Carlisle Homes. In 2022, a state-of-the-art office was built with John saying "The office is no longer purely a physical location; it’s an extension of people’s home life, a hub where we come together and connect to do those things we have missed in a virtual world...we want our people to be engaged and inspired to do their best work"[7][8]. John also headhunted the significant overhaul of the parental leave package at Carlisle Homes to better support women and families in the workplace, a leading scheme in the building industry[9]
