  • Comment: Unclear if this subject meets minimum biographical article requirements (see WP:BIO / WP:NACADEMICS). Having removed the external links in the body article content, inline citation of references also needs to be improved, ideally with links to significant coverage about him in reliable, independent, secondary sources; the somewhat indiscriminate list of publications, events, articles should also be properly referenced. • Comment: we don't use external links in the body of an article and the title "Dr" is not required Theroadislong (talk) 16:58, 19 January 2024 (UTC)
  • Comment: You are misunderstanding the criteria. Please read carefully both WP:N and WP:NPROF and look at other pages. Please remove material that is not notable, for instance lecture courses to students means nothing (all academics do), plus the number of countries or committees.bIf you keep submitting without attempting to make major improvements someone may do a hard reject with no option to resubmit. John K. Schueller is an American engineer and professor at the University of Florida. He has worked in precision agriculture, including developing yield mapping and variable application technologies, manufacturing, and in off-highway vehicles and equipment.[1]

Career[edit]

From 1983 to 1986, Schueller was an assistant professor in the department of Agricultural Engineering at Texas A&M University. In 1986 he joined the department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering at the University of Florida where he is now a professor.[2] Schueller is known for his research on agricultural equipment, including work on design, manufacturing, management, and automation.[3][4]

He is a Fellow of the American Society of Agricultural and Biological Engineers, International Association of Animal Behavior Consultants, and SAE International.

Schueller is the Editor-in-Chief of Computers and Electronics in Agriculture and serves on the Management Committee of the Club of Bologna. He is a founding member of the European Society of Agricultural Engineers.

Publications and Awards[edit]

Schueller is the co-author of Machine Design for Mobile and Industrial Applications. He has publications in journals such as Advanced Manufacturing Technology, Advances in Industrial and Manufacturing Engineering, Applied Engineering in Agriculture, Computers and Electronics in Agriculture, Experimental Mechanics, Fertilizer Research, Frontiers in Robotics and AI, and International Journal of Advanced Manufacturing Technology. He is the recipient of several awards, including the High Merit Award by the International Commission of Agricultural and Biosystems Engineering, the Kishida Award from the American Society of Agricultural and Biological Engineers, the Ralph R. Teetor Award from the Society of Automotive Engineers, the Robert L. Pinckney Award from the American Helicopter Society, and the G.H. & F.R. Vasey Award from the University of Melbourne.

Schueller is cited for his contributions to machine design in agriculture.[5] His research impacts how artificial intelligence is being implemented in agriculture worldwide,[6] as well as how water management is implemented.[7]
