Jonathan Hsy is a US literary and cultural studies scholar in the field of medieval and medievalism studies. He is Professor of English at The George Washington University, Washington, DC, where he teaches in the areas of late-medieval literary and cultural studies (especially Geoffrey Chaucer and his contemporaries), critical theory (race, gender, sexuality), disability studies, and digital humanities. He received his B.A. and M.A. in English from Stanford University and his Ph.D. in English from the University of Pennsylvania. He is the Founding Co-Director of the GW Digital Humanities Institute, the Founding Co-Director of Global Chaucers, and a Founding Executive Board Member of the international research network RaceB4Race.
