Karthika thirunal Indira Bhai(1926 to 2017) is the younger daughter Maharani of Pooradam thriunal Sethu Lakshmi Bayi (1901 to 1985) She is the Titular Maharani of Travancore From 2008 November to 2017 July after her sister Uthram thirunal Lalithaba Bhai's short regin . Princess karthika thirunal Indira bhai was born in 1926 (23rd Oct).The gates were thrown open and hours later the father of the newborn appeared on a balcony, his royal daughter raised in his arms. The baby’s cousin, the young Maharajah of Travancore (Sree Chithira Thirunal Balarama Varma ), drove in state to welcome her into the family — she was presented to him wrapped in silks, placed on a silver tray. In due course, proclamations were issued, a state holiday declared: nothing but the highest honors for the princess of Travancore.

After the death of her cousin Maharani Karthika Thirunal Lakshmi Bayi Her elder sister assumed the status of female head of the royal fasmily not only as aatingal mootha thapuran but also the Titular Maharani of travancore but it was a short period as her sister Uthram thirunal lalaithambha bhai passed away on November 2008. From 2008 November to 2017 July she is assumed the as the titular maharani of Travancore /Attingal Mootha thampuran
