Selma Shapwa, known as kaSelly the designer (born in 1996) in Ohangwena region, is a Namibian fashion designer.

Early life

Born and raised in deep rural village of Okongo, kaSelly was unable to harness and nurture her design skills due to lack of fabrics in rural area. She is a self-taught fashion designer and started sewing at the age of 13 when she use to sew her clothes and of friends. KaSelly went to the Namibia University of Science and Technology to further her talents and skills and pursue her career.

Designing as a career

KaSelly created her design collection known as kaSelly design CC which is based in Windhoek.
