Kenny 'Flash' Watson (born 14 January 1956) is a Scottish former professional footballer best known for his time at Dunfermline Athletic.[1] [2]

Originally from Bathgate, Watson came through the youth system at Dunfermline Athletic after signing as a schoolboy[3] and played his first match for the Pars on 29 September 1973 against Falkirk. In the following season, he played 32 matches in the top flight and scored seven goals.[4] [5]

He won seven caps for the Scotland professional youth team as they took third place overall in the 1974 UEFA European Under-18 Championship in Sweden. He was the only part-timer in a squad that included Andy Gray, George Burley and Dave Narey.[6]

From 1973 till 1978 Watson was a part-time footballer studying dentistry at Edinburgh University.

He made 135 appearances and scored 14 goals. His last game was on 29 April 1978 against Raith Rovers.
