The games are controlled through Microsoft's Kinect device, which allows players to control the game through gestures and speech recognition without the need of any physical game controller.[3] The games can be played with up to 2 players.

The game also has the Party Mode and Mini Games from Kinect Sports and the Quick Play and mini games for each sport from Kinect Sports: Season Two.
