Kirk Benedict (born March 27, 1988) is an American football coach who is currently the special teams coordinator at the University of Georgia. He previously served as an analyst at the University of Georgia for two years as well as special teams coordinator at Duke University before his appointment to his current position on February 14, 2024. Benedict began his coaching career at Duke University, starting as an operations assistant before being elevated to being a graduate assistant. He was promoted to special teams coordinator following his graduate assistantship.

Benedict is a native of Fairfax, Virginia, and attended Fairfax High School. He played fullback at Davidson College, where he graduated with a degree in political science in 2010.

Following his graduation from Davidson, Benedict was commissioned as an officer in the U.S. Army. Stationed in Germany from 2011 to 2014, he served as a Reconnaissance Platoon Leader and Troop Executive Officer in the 2nd Cavalry Regiment. Benedict also served two deployments to Afghanistan (2011, 2013-14) before exiting the army at the rank of captain. [2]

Benedict is married to the former Molly Battle, and has two children.
