Dato' Sri Koh Yock Heng, (Chinese: 許育興; born 12 June 1964), commonly known as Kohsan, is a Malaysian entrepreneur recognized for his contributions to the tourism and travel industry. He serves as the Co-Founder and Group Managing Director of Apple Vacations Sdn Bhd, a leading travel agency in Malaysia. In addition to his role at Apple Vacations, Koh holds significant positions within various industry associations. Since 2022, he has served as the President of the Malaysia Cruise Industry Association (MCIA) [1] and as the Deputy Chairman of the Malaysia Chinese Tourism Association (MCTA) [2]. In 2019, he was honored with the title of Best Tourism & Travel Entrepreneur by the Asia Pacific Tourism & Travel Federation (APTTF), further cementing his reputation as a visionary leader in the field.

Koh is the co-founder and Group Managing Director of Apple Vacations Sdn Bhd.

Beyond his corporate endeavors, Koh is also known for his passion for culinary arts. In 2016, he established Capitol Cafe in Bukit Bintang, Kuala Lumpur, renowned for its delightful cuisine and charming kopitiam ambiance.[8]

In line with his commitment to catering to diverse traveler segments, Koh played a pivotal role in the establishment of Ubingo Vacations Sdn Bhd in 2022, a subsidiary of Apple Vacations aimed at serving middle-income travelers.[9]

Early life and education[edit]

Born in Yong Peng, Johor, Koh's journey in the tourism industry was influenced by his early experiences organizing scouting trips during secondary school. He graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Tokyo International University in 1992, laying the foundation for his successful career in travel and entrepreneurship.
