Kyle Even (born September 21, 1985)[1] was an American electronic music artist from Glenwood Springs, Colorado. He is best known as the former co-vocalist for Breathe Carolina before departing the group in 2013 to be with his family after having his first child.[2]

Early life[edit]

Even was born in Glenwood Springs, Colorado, United States on September 21, 1985. He was raised in Littleton, Colorado.[3] Even was introduced to alternative rock by an older stepbrother. Even sang in choir while he was in middle school. He attended and graduated from Chatfield High School.[4][5] Before joining Breathe Carolina, Even performed in the band Rivendale and released an EP called, Portrait of Shadows.[1] He met and befriended Breathe Carolina member David Schmitt at a battle of the bands competition.[6] Even had worked as a photographer before quitting to form Breathe Carolina.[7]

Career[edit]

Even joined Breathe Carolina after being asked by David Schmitt in 2007. They began recording songs on the music-creating software GarageBand.[8] The duo signed with Rise Records and released their debut studio album, It's Classy, Not Classic in 2008.[9] In 2009, they released their second studio album, Hello Fascination via Fearless Records.[10]

In 2013, Even released a single with German-American singer Beatrice Brigitte called "Are You Listening". Even was also featured in a rap song, "Hillbillary" by rapper Stug Fent. In October 2013, Even left the group to be with his family after having his first child.[2]

Personal life[edit]

In 2012, Even along with Schmitt teamed up with Blush and started their own clothing line.[11] After leaving the group, Even started playing professional golf in 2018.[12]
