LaFel Earl Oman[1] (May 7, 1912 – November 3, 1991)[2] was a justice of the New Mexico Supreme Court from January 1, 1971 until his retirement on March 31, 1977.

He "earned his law degree from the University of Utah in Salt Lake City. He practiced law in that state in the late 1930s. After serving in the Navy during World War II, he was in private practice in Las Cruces from 1948 to 1966".[2]

Oman died of cancer at his home in Santa Fe, New Mexico, at the age of 79.[2]
