Lal is subbranch of the Niazi tribe of trag,Mianwali.In urdu language meaning of Lal is red colour basically Lal was a person due to his redish skin colour like other afghan pashtuns he was named so, "Lal" he was born in the Shadokhel tribe of Niazi pashtuns.Lal was the son of Kher Muhammad Khan Niazi.The family tree of Lal is Lal bin kher muhammad bin Musa bin Ahmed Khan bin Kala khan bin Taja khan bin kher muhammad{2} bin trag bin jahangir khan bin amir khan bin shado khan niazi bin khir bin jam bin toor bin habib bin wagan/wajan bin jamal khan bin Niaz khan lodhi(also known as Niazi).Lal's ancestor "Trag" was an afghan warrior in 15-16 C.E He was a combatant and adventurous like his great grand father shado khan Niazi (A noble person in sher shah suri's great general haibet khan niazi's army).Lal was born in a village named on his ancestor "Trag" in mianwali.Lal people are mostly living in esakhel and trag ( their homeland due to their hold in trag where their ancestors were born this area is named as "lalan wala dera" in their native language)some familys of trag migrated to kaluanwala in esakhel and some migrated to norung,lakkimarwat in kpk and some familys are living in karachi.they speak their native mianwalian language and pashto.
