Draft:Latin Vulgate Onlyism

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Latin Vulgate Onlyism refers to the belief held by Catholics in the 16th and 17th centuries that their Latin Vulgate Bible was divinely inspired and perfect, thus the only valid Bible. They claimed that the Vulgate was equal to, or even superior to, the original Greek Bible.[1] [2] [3]
