Francis Lawrence Holman, whom Randolph County Democrats nominated yesterday as their candidate for prosecuting attorney by an overwhelming majority, and who will become the youngest prosecutor ever to serve this county, unless an upset occurs in the November election, had an even greater surprise for the voters today.[3]

Holman died at the McAllen Medical Center in McAllen, Texas, at the age of 82, following an auto accident in which he was severely injured two weeks earlier.[1]
