The Le Chateau restaurant was a regional restaurant chain headquartered in Greensboro NC. It had at least 34 locations^[1] but a list of locations has not been located. Known locations include Greensboro North Carolina,^[2] Roanoke Virginia^[3] and Huntington West Virginia^[1]. It was founded by Ned Allen and Tom Mincher in 1970^[1]^[2] and was purchased later by the Green Giant Food Company.^[1]^[2] Pillsbury purchased Green Giant in 1976^[4] and soon after changed the Le Chateau restaurants to Steak & Ale restaurants which Pillsbury also owned.^[2]
