The Le Chateau restaurant was a regional restaurant chain headquartered in Greensboro NC. It had at least 34 locations[1] but a list of locations has not been located. Known locations include Greensboro North Carolina,[2] Roanoke Virginia[3] and Huntington West Virginia[1]. It was founded by Ned Allen and Tom Mincher in 1970[1][2] and was purchased later by the Green Giant Food Company.[1][2] Pillsbury purchased Green Giant in 1976[4] and soon after changed the Le Chateau restaurants to Steak & Ale restaurants which Pillsbury also owned.[2]
