Mad Tsai begin his music career by posting original compositions on TikTok. His debut single, "boy bi" (2020)[2], not only gained millions of views on YouTube, but also served as a platform for Tsai to openly express his bisexuality to his mother, in a TikTok video resonating with over 1.1 million viewers.
Mad Tsai breakthrough moment arrived with the release of his single "Stacy’s Brother"[3] in 2022, a clever reinterpretation of the Fountains of Wayne hit. The song, accompanied by a captivating music video, swiftly went viral, establishing Tsai as a distinctive figure in the contemporary pop music landscape.

In an interview with UCLA's radio[4] hosts Mickey and Sabine, being an openly queer Asian artist, sheds light on the importance of creating music that resonates with the LGBTQ+ community, offering a voice for those facing similar struggles.[5]
