Draft:Mana (moral authority)

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

In New Zealand culture, mana is an attribute of living things which embodies positive moral authority. People, rivers[1] and trees[2] can all have mana.[3][4][5]

The term in New Zealand culture is derived from the term of the same name in in Polynesian culture; the indigenous Māori people are Polynesians and the Māori language is a Polynesian language.[6]
