Early Life :
Manavalan Ramachandran , Born in a Vanniar Family on 11th Feb 1958 in Uzhandai Keerapalayam, in Union Territory Of Pondicherry, in a middle class family.
His father Ramachandirane was a mill worker and his mother was seetha, house wife.
He is an elder son and a sister , Radjalatchoumy.
When Manavalan was five years old he went a small school, Pajana Madathu Pallikudam,
near by his home place. His master name was Perumal Vathiar.
Later he went to famous town school,named Petit Seminaire High School. There he completed his matriculation and went to Pre-University Course in Arignar Anna Arts College in Karaikal, Union Territory Of Pondicherry.
Successfully completed P.U.C and to join B.A., English Literature, in Tagore Arts college, Lawspet,Puducherry, he earned M.A. degree in English Literature from the same college,Later he went to chennai,Joined B.Ed in Saidapet Teacher College and successfully completed his degree.
Master of Education and Master of Philosophy (M.Phil),successfully completed in the Annamalai University,Chidambaram,Tamil Nadu.
And in the same university he completed his Doctorate of Philosophy in Education, but not yet submitted his thesis because of some misunderstanding between he and his guide at the time of submission.
Manavalane was a keen follower of the communist Party of India. His father and mother also a strong party members of C.P.I
After a lot introspective , he decide to break up his relationship from the party and decided to go back to tamil litearay field in the year 1990 with his first short story collecction vettaveliyil, published by his own publication "Kannama Pathipagam".
In the meantime he started a primary school named as Sri Surya School. He successfuly ran the school till 2008.
In between he started a monthly magazine in the year 2001 and chozha Nadu Fortnightly paper in the year 2008. He successfuly ran the magazine Sooryodayam and Fortnightly paper Chozha Nadu till 2016.Later he stopped the magazine and fortnightly paper, concentrated his lietrary works in tamil. He has written more than eleven books were published by his own publication Kannama Pathipagam.
