Marshall A. Talley (died May 7, 1953) was a Baptist leader and state legislator in Indiana. He represented the city of Indianapolis in Marion County, Indiana in 1937.[1] He was a Democrat and was succeeded by Theodore Cable in 1939.[1]

Biography[edit]

Talley was born in Concord, North Carolina to Winslow A. and Lucretia C. Talley.[2] He obtained several degrees including a Doctor of Divinity.[2] He was then ordained in 1905 as a Baptist minister and served as a pastor in Florida, North Carolina, Alabama and Pennsylvania.[2] He then moved to Indianapolis and worked as the pastor at the Mount Zion Baptist Church for 7 years.[2]

Talley died May 7, 1953 aged 75, in hospital in Indianapolis survived by his wife Anna Loue Talley, two sons and a daughter.[2]
