1. Medal of the Republic of Azerbaijan "For Distinction in Diplomatic Service" is awarded to employees of diplomatic rank of the diplomatic service bodies of the Republic of Azerbaijan in the following cases:
- For his significant contribution to the implementation of the foreign policy of the Republic of Azerbaijan;
- For active participation in the preparation and implementation of important projects related to the field of diplomatic service;
- For the important work done in the development of international relations of the Republic of Azerbaijan;
- For conscientious activity and special services in diplomatic service bodies.
- The medal of the Republic of Azerbaijan "For outstanding achievement in diplomatic service" is worn on the left side of the chest, if there are other orders and medals of the Republic of Azerbaijan, it is worn after them.[2]
Description[edit]
- The medal of the Republic of Azerbaijan "For outstanding achievement in diplomatic service" consists of a circular medal and a rectangular plate.
- The diameter of the medal is 35mm, it consists of a circular metal plate in gold color on both sides, two circles are placed on the front side. In the first circle, the words "REPUBLIC OF AZERBAIJAN" are engraved along the upper arc and "DIPLOMATIC SERVICE" along the lower arc. In the middle of the second circle of the medal, the inscription "FOR DIVILEGATION IN DIPLOMATIC SERVICE" is engraved in a raised gold border, reflecting the national ornamental elements of Azerbaijan, placed symmetrically on top of each other.
- The reverse side of the medal has a smooth surface, and the golden reflection of the State coat of arms of the Republic of Azerbaijan, 21mm in diameter, is engraved in the middle.
- The medal is attached to a 27mm x 39mm angled downward blue ('Panton 3005°C') metal plate with a ring and an element that enables it to be attached to clothing via the ring. On the plate there is an element consisting of 4 gold stripes, each 0.5mm wide, rising from the lower left corner to the upper right corner, and 3 oblique stripes, 4mm wide, reflecting the colors of the Republic State flag. of Azerbaijan. A 4mm wide gold plate is glued to the bottom of the board.
- Attached to the medal is a 27mm x 9mm die, made of metal, on a blue ("Panton 3005 °C") background, with an element for attachment to clothing and an element repeating three oblique lines reflecting the colors of the medal. State flag of the Republic of Azerbaijan on the plate.[3]
