This is an official poker term for completely failing to use any skill in a poker tournament. It is used as a verb, "I Metaed that tournament so bad!" It means you played poorly and are very embarrassed to even be alive. Other variations Meta, Metaing, and Really Metaed. This is in contradistinction to Daishoing, meaning doing extremely well or dominating a poker tournament.
