Born in Czechoslovakia (Czech Republic).[1] in 1922[2] Miroslav Lebda attended and graduated from the Conservatory of Music in Prague and the Prague Academy of Music[1]. Lebeda attained an advanced diploma in conducting and composition[1]. In Czechoslovakia Lebeda was an opera and orchestra conductor, teacher of composition and theory, and Director of the State School of Music in Prague[1]. Lebeda emigrated to the United States in 1969[1]
