Muzaffarabadmachli is an extinct genus of chordate known from the Early Cambrian Abbottabad Formation of Pakistan.

Discovery and naming[edit]

The holotype, MSM-1-Muzaffarabad, was found in a section of the Abbottabad Formation which is now located in the concrete chip of the lawn floor of the Tariq Abbassi house, which was a temporary hired office of the Geological Survey of Pakistan.[1]

Classification[edit]

It has been suggested that it was possibly the oldest known member of Agnatha,[1] and Muzaffarabadmachli was found to be most closely related to Haikouichthys.[1][2]
