Nang Nang (Born ၼၢင်းၼၢင်း, 6 November 1955) is a Burmese musician from Shan State, Myanmar. She is considered to be a major figure in the stereo music scene of Shan State during the 1970s.
She performed with backing bands Tai Noom and Tunggabari Band as the lead singer. Her release Le' ywei sin tei mya was noted as being heavily psychedelic in style and laced with political undertones. This led to most music being released through underground indie publishers on cassette.[2]
It can be estimated that she began releasing music in the mid-late 1970s. Her music resurfaced on online forums since 2014 and has developed a cult following.[3] One reviewer stated that "the mix is delicate and balanced, and the tape hiss gives everything a remarkably nostalgic and beautiful finishing touch".
