Kenton Skarin currently serves as a judge of the Illinois 18th Judicial Circuit. Judge Skarin graduated first in his class, magna cum laude, from Northwestern University School of Law and graduated summa cum laude from North Central College in Naperville, Illinois. Judge Skarin resides in the 18th Judicial Circuit with his family.

Judge Skarin clerked for the United States Supreme Court. He served in a similar role for the United States Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit. Judge Skarin also practiced appellate law in the Chicago office of Jones Day and served as Deputy General Counsel to the Governor of Illinois, in addition to working at other major international law firms.
