Nick Manning (born August 11, 1984) is an Australian author and world record holder. He has written or co-authored multiple nonfiction books, including How to Be a Tour Guide,[1] and Navigating the First Six Weeks.[2] He holds Guinness World Records for three underpants related achievements: Fastest time to put on 10 pairs of underpants,[3] Most underpants pulled on in 30 seconds,[4] and Most underpants pulled on in one minute.[5]
Books[edit]
Manning wrote his first nonfiction work in 2014. Titled How to be a Tour Guide, it covers the skills, techniques, and requirements to guide within the tourism industry, providing practical advice on engaging with tourists, managing group dynamics, and delivering memorable experiences.[1]
His second nonfiction book was written in 2022 and titled Navigating the First Six Weeks. Inspired by the birth of his daughter, Manning wrote the book with his wife.[6] It is an evidence-based guide for parents with newborn infants, covering topics which include immunization, breastfeeding, bottle feeding and SIDS prevention.[2]
Manning also has also published multiple fiction works under a variety of pen names.[citation needed]
World Records[edit]
Manning holds the current World Records for Fastest time to put on 10 pairs of underpants, with a time of 13.03 seconds, achieved on 1 July, 2023,[3] Most underpants pulled on in 30 seconds, with 24 pair pulled on, achieved on 1 July, 2023,[4] and Most underpants pulled on in one minute, with 44 pair pulled on, achieved on 29 October, 2023,[5]
