Okwudili Nwakobi is a Nigerian Businessman known for his experience in Sales, Marketing, and Business Development. He currently serves as the Managing Director of Cubana Trading and Investment Company Ltd.

Early Life[edit]

Born on January 24, 1985, in Onitsha, Anambra State, he hails from Obosi in Idemili Local Government Area of Anambra State. His father, Igwe Josiah Udoye Nwakobi, was the king of Obosi Kingdom, and his mother is Lolo Lily Nkiru Nwakobi. Nwakobi is married and has three children.

Education[edit]

His early schooling was at All Saints Primary School before attending Dennis Memorial Grammar School for his secondary education. After his secondary education, he proceeded to Benson Idahosa University, Benin, where he graduated with a first-class Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science in 2010.

Nwakobi furthered his education with an MBA in Business Administration and Management from Metropolitan School of Business and Management (UK) in 2019. He has also completed various professional programs, including Leadership Trainings and Negotiation Mastery.

Career[edit]

Nwakobi's career in the Fast Moving Consumer Goods industry (FMCG) began in 2011 at the Heineken Company in Nigeria, initially at Consolidated Breweries Plc before its merger with Nigerian Breweries Plc in 2014.

He started as an IT Operations Support Officer before transitioning to roles in Sales, where he oversaw sales activities and contributed to sales volume growth.

He later assumed roles such as Draught Beer Manager, National Key Accounts Manager,Senior Brand Manager, and Head of Brands - Sessionable Lagers.

Awards[edit]

In recognition of his awards, Nwakobi received the Brand of the Year Award in 2022 from the Nigerian Marketing Awards (NMA) for his work with Tiger Brand.
