Comment: Several of the sources are unreliable (Cross Encounters is Wang's organisation - so not independent); other citations appear inspired by press releases/PR/marketing from Cross Encounters. Notability for a Wikipedia article requires significant coverage (ie: not just brief mentions) of Wang in reliable, independent, secondary sources with a reputation for accuracy and fact-checking. Olivia Wang (Chinese:王欧) is an actress, producer, intercultural performing arts practitioner and an advocate for arts and cultural exchange between Australia and China.[1] [2]She is the first actor to perform Chinese-Australian cross-cultural physical theatre on stage, taking on lead roles in several productions.[3]Olivia is also the founder and head of Cross Encounters[4], which is Melbourne’s solo accredited Chinese-Australian performing arts organisation.[5][2]With a track record of several first ever cross-cultural physical theatre productions, events and programs, the group has been recognised as a unique force that filled the gap and led to the development and innovation of the Chinese-Australian intercultural physical theatre field.[6][7]Olivia and her group have been focusing on facilitating Australia-Asia cultural exchange and communication since 2020 through performances, workshops and forums, and being considered to have the distinct effect on the facilitation of cultural exchange and communication between China and Australia.[2] [8][7]Olivia Wang's experience goes beyond the stage. She has gained experience as a screen actress[9], she also performs as a MC and singer at celebration events.[10][11] Olivia and her group have been receiving widespread media attention and have been featured in reports by a list of mainstream and industry papers including Xinhua News Agency, Australian Arts Review, and others, with a highlight of the 4 reports by SBS.[1][2][8][7]
