The Olympus Infinity S was a point and shoot model with a 35mm Olympus lens, offering an aperture range from f/3.5 to f/22 and shutter speeds ranging from 1/45 to 1/400. The camera features a flash with a range of 4m and within, making it suitable for various lighting conditions. Its lens has three zone focus settings: close focus (0.5m to 1m), standard (1.5m to Infinity), and landscape (Infinity). Powering the camera requires 2 x AAA batteries.

To switch focus modes, users must press and hold the green buttons seen in the image [note should be held down as shutter is pressed]. The camera also features a self-timer function activated by pressing the shutter button while holding down blue button on top of camera. The self-timer, lasting around 12 seconds, is indicated by a flashing red LED adjacent to the Infinity S logo on the camera's front, signaling when the photo is about to be taken.
