Om Shreem Mahalakshmiyei Namaha (Devanagari:ॐ श्रीं महालक्ष्म्यै नमः) lit.'"My salutations to the great Lakshmi"' is one of the most popular Hindu mantras dedicated to goddess Lakshmi. The mantra is often used to worship Lakshmi for wealth, abundance and luck. It is also said to commence any prayers and puja dedicated to Lakshmi.[1][2]

The hymn is composed only with one verse:[3]

Om Shreem Mahalakshmiyei Namaha

My salutations to the great Lakshmi.[4]

Significance[edit]

Chanting of this mantra bestows one with wealth, riches, beauty, youth and health. Regular Japa brings in abundance in health, finances, and relationships. Those in job can chant it regularly to get promotions; those in business can use it to increase profits and those in trade can benefit by attracting new customers

Regular chanting of this mantra brings peace of mind and wards away the negative influences in your lives. The intense vibratory energy produced by repetitive chanting of the powerful Mantra produces an energy field which attracts abundance and fortune.

When reciting this money mantra, use of a Kamalgatta mala or Sphatik mala is thought to be auspicious. Use red roses and lotuses while chanting this mantra. You can chant the mantra 108 times in the evening and 108 times in the morning.[5]
