Joshua Omeke a Nigerian is a pastor, writer, visual artist and Investment banking aspirant. Described by Kirkus Review as “a mixed musings from a spirited poet.”.[1] He founded Alkebulan Art UK[2]
His works have been recognized by News Telegraph, Africanah[3], Lagos Review[4], Daily Monitor[5], The Sun Literary Review[6], Guardian Sunday, Hidden Literature[7], Leeds art revue[8], Spillwords Press[9] and many more. He attended The Blackish International literary festival in 2022, LSE Ubuntu Café 2023[10] and is a member of the Royal African Society UK and The Poetry Society UK.
BIOGRAPHY[edit]
Early life[edit]
Joshua was born to a Christian family in Lagos, Nigeria. He obtained a degree in Physics from Delta State University, Abraka.
To advance his theological education, he attended Shield of Faith West African chapter and was ordinated as a Pastor. In later years, he furthered his education in Business Innovation from Birkbeck, University of London.
Joshua also completed courses at Harvard edX, and Hillsdale College.

Pastor[edit]
Joshua claimed he had encountered Jesus Christ in a trance at the age of 15 where he could not identify a dark lanky man about 7 feet in height and was battered with bruises, and mark of atonements. Saying he has called Joshua and had selected him among the chosen to go out and tell the world that Christ was coming 11,000 years from the date of his encounter. Following these claims, Joshua pursued seminary courses and later became ordinated in 2020.

Joshua has written about six self-help categorized books. Three poetry collections and two novels. His work “The plague in our waves” was featured on Vanguard Nigeria[11]
In 2023, he received two publishing contracts and was nominated for some literal prize. Due to some ongoing controversies with African writers refusing to tell their cultural folklore, he was invited to an interview with Henry Akubuiro[Henry Akubuiro] of The Sun Nigeria on African heritages being incorporated into literature[12]
And in 2024 Joshua was also featured in Lagos Review[13] was accepted for the 2024 Forward Prize nomination under the best single performed poem category.
Joshua’s works have been featured and he has been spoken about in Ghana, Nigeria, Uganda[14], Netherlands, United Kingdom[15] and the USA.
Investment banker[edit]
Joshua has been vocal and an advocate of individuals, especially black investing at least 1 of every 10 of their income, thereby unleashing the skills he gathered through his master's studies.
