One District One Product is a programme started by Ministry of Food Processing Industries of Government of India to improve marketing of Food products and to improve supporting infrastructure.[1]

It is an initiative by Indian Prime Minister to promote local food products under Atmanirbhar Bharat vision.[2] Under this MoFPI and National Agricultural Cooperative Marketing Federation of India signed MoUs to improve branding, marketing also to set up MSMEs at district level in each of the states and union territories.

Various state also have started their own ODOP program in their respective states to promote local food industry. This initiative will help balanced regional development in each of the district. Prime Minister Narendra Modi led government started a scheme named Pradhan Mantri Formalisation of Micro food processing Enterprises (PMFME) Scheme under ODOP programme.[3][4]

Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade of Ministry of Commerce and Industry has identified various products district wise. As of now DPIIT has identified total 1102 products from 761 districts.[5][6]
