Code named “Operation Smoluća was a military engagement fought during the Bosnian War between the 18th of June (1992) to the 29th of August, (1992) The ARBiH and HVO expelled the Serbs civilians from neighboring town’s such as : (Podpeć, Tinja Jasenica, Srebrenik,) both the HVO and ARBiH Besieged the town for almost 5 months, Leaving the citizens without water, food, and electricity for months, with Bosnian and Croat forces blocking the road as Red Cross vehicles attempted to give the civilians medicine and proper medical care. Somewhere around August, the Garda Panteri and a town militia (Numbering in at about 1,200 fighters) began to evacuate 7,000 civilians of the town, and capture the enclave set up by the ARBiH. 50 were killed in the engagement with 149 killed in the surrounding areas, Despite this, the evacuation was a success ending on the 29th of August, 1992. Smoluća was burned and robbed after the complete evacuation of the town.
