PaikariSale.com (Bengali: পাইকারিসেল.কম) is a sustainable e-commerce online platform in Bangladesh..[1][2]. Launched in May 2020, it was a pilot project by the Youth Ministry of Bangladesh to promote and support young entrepreneurs, develop entrepreneurial skills, and job creation at the upazila levels of Bangladesh. [3][4][5].

History and development[edit]

The platform PaikariSale was conceived and developed through a public-private partnership to enhance its impact on small businesses across Bangladesh and to foster tech-savvy youth self-employment.[6][7].

The platform's primary mission is to empower small-scale producers, small businesses, and young entrepreneurs by facilitating convenient and economical procurement and delivery of goods to small businesses from local producers and manufacturers while creating earning opportunities for the unemployed local youth with low capital requirements.[8].

Business model and services[edit]

PaikariSale offers thousands of daily consumable items of various categories such as farming produce, agricultural items, electronics, hardware etc. [9][10]

The platform lists products from rural producers, various local manufacturers and suppliers. The PaikariSale representatives (local dealers) collect orders and manage deliveries and customer support. There are 64 dealer locations spread across the country.[11][12]

Reputation and recognition[edit]

The platform PaikariSale marked its recognition on the eve of 'Bangladesh Youth Skills Fest 2021', standing out among numerous initiatives to inspire and train local youth for successful self-employment in Bangladesh and a model that can ensure healthy competition and fast growth.[13][14]
