Following World War II, Greece faced extreme hardship during and after the civil war. Migration was necessary to avoid increasing poverty and unemployment.
In the late 20th century the family faced hardships and loss of opportunity. the family decided to migrate to Australia to start a new life. This was decision was made with the hopes that migrating to Melbourne Australia would provide them with a prosperous future.
