Pikamoon is a blockchain game developed by Pakistani gaming studio Orbit Cosmos^[1], which uses the Ethereum-based native token PIKA.^[2]

Gameplay[edit]

According to its website, Pikamoon is a role-playing game that focuses on planning, exploring and combat. The gameplay follows a Pokémon-inspired premise in which players battle their Pikamoon character NFTs against each other in online Player versus player (PvP) and Multiplayer online battle arena (MOBA) modes.^[3]

Development and history[edit]

Development of Pikamoon began in March 2023^[4], led by co-founders Conrad Lewis, Luke Appleton, and Nicholas Evans.^[5] The beta version of the Pikamoon game was launched in December 2023, in collaboration with Kyiv-based Kevuru Games.^[6]

Marketing[edit]

As part of its marketing efforts in April 2024, Pikamoon released an open world teaser trailer to highlight the game's expansive, and interactive world.^[7]
