Potential Studios LLP is a film production company based in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India. It was founded by S. R. Prakash Babu, S. R. Prabhu, P. Gopinath, and R. Thangaprabaharan. The studio has produced several successful films in the Indian film industry.

History[edit]

Potential Studios LLP debuted in the film industry with Maya (2015 Tamil film), directed by Ashwin Saravanan.^[1] The film received recognition for its narrative and performances. It also won awards such as the Best Lead Role Female Award at the IIFA Utsavam Awards 2015 and the K. Balachander Award for Best Female Actor at the Chennai International Film Festival 2016.

Following Maya, Potential Studios LLP continued with Maanagaram in 2017, directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj.^[2] The film was praised for its storytelling and performances and received awards such as the Ananda Vikatan Cinema Awards 2018 for Best Comedian - Male (Munishkanth) and the Norway Tamil Film Festival Awards 2018 for Best Comedian (Munishkanth).

Maya (2015) - Directed by Ashwin Saravanan, "Maya" was the debut film of Potential Studios LLP. It received critical acclaim.
Maanagaram (2017) - Directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, "Maanagaram" was well-received for its storyline and performances.^[3]
Monster - Monster (2019 film) starred S. J. Suryah, Priya Bhavani Shankar, and Karunakaran. It was directed by Nelson Venkatesan.^[4]
Taanakkaran (2022) - Starring Vikram Prabhu and Anjali Nair, "Taanakkaran" was released on Disney Plus Hotstar. It was directed by Thamizh.^[5]
Irugapatru (2023) - Directed by Yuvaraj Dhayalan, "Irugapatru" featured Vikram Prabhu, Shraddha Srinath, Saniya Iyyapan, Vidharth, Shri, and Abarnathi.^[6]
